Response: Marcia, Thank you. I read that you are a book person, so I am glad that you liked it. The paper is handmade(not by me) and yes those are real leaves in the paper. Coptic is the chain linked stitch that I used to sew the pages together. I like it since it is very durable but the book will also open flat. Much easier to write in. -Lisa

Comment: Ah, Nassau..last time I was there was a couple of days before the straw market burnt down back in 2001. It was also the first place I ever went snorkeling...loved it so I had the scene tattooed on my arm. Thanks for a walk down memory lane and thanks for the PC.

Comment: Thanks for the email! I enjoyed reading your answers. And I totally agree about the neons - they are not for adults!! We recently had an event at work where everyone had to wear bright neon yellow t-shirts. EVERYONE looked ridiculous!

Comment: I loved the menu and your notes! I started having preterm contractions at 30 weeks and was on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. I delivered a healthy 7 lb. boy at 38 weeks. My heart goes out to you and your little one!
Response: Well I am glad you liked all of my ramblings. Thurman's Cafe is still a favorite after so may years. Being on bed rest must have been very hard. My son Will is did well and has no disabilities. He is a bit uncoordinated and is on the thin side (never built up fat in utero - why cant I have this problem). I know so many things could have gone wrong, but we got lucky like winning the lottery with him. My other son, 9 lb... and my body will never be the same.

Comment: Wow! I'm crazy about this postcard! Did you draw the octopus? Sounds like your week was a bit of a roller coaster. I hope your friend recovers completely from her surgery.
Response: no, it is a Dover graphic. I love old pictures of octopus... well I like all Octopus. Makes me happy that you liked it since I kinda made it. My friend is doing great. She had a lemon sized tumor removed... and when I went to visit I couldn't tell at all and I was looking!

Response: Well the first degree is in physics and the most recent one was nursing that I got at Fortis in Westerville. How long did you live in Pataskala? I have lived in Columbus since '91
