Comment: I have never gone down that road I was at the end of it one time but my ex-husband would'nt go down the road. I was born in Oakland but never go back there to much crime now. Its been raining here to hope the sun comes out there and here carolynne
Response: My brother and his family used to live in the Oakland Hills but when they retired they moved to Arizona. We haven't been to Oakland since and that's been 5 years ago. We were nervous driving through some neighborhoods back then and I'm sure its worse today. It's too bad. Thanks for the rating!

Comment: Thanks for the card -- I have never been to San Francisco, but would love to go some day. And a note as a fellow reader. I recently read the new biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxes. A truly remarkable story of the whole family, and the sacrifices they made in trying to stop Hitler, as well as the story of Dietrich as a man of faith. It makes you wonder how things might have been different if there had been more people willing to fight injustice and evil! Happy swapping!
