You will create a blank journal with at least 24 pages with dimensions at least 4" x 4" for your partner. Decorative stitching, a beautiful cover is key and embellished pages are optional but encourage. You want to make a journal that your parnter can add to and create in and will treasure. If this takes off I will be doing this monthly. This is a 1 for 1 swap. You may start with a purchased kit as long as the majority of the jounral is hand crafted.

how do we make sure they can add to it if we hand stitch the binding? do you mean add in pages? or just add in things to the book we already made?

Yes, is international. The binding is irrelevant. Just make sure they can write on the pages. I love handstitched though. This is a "blank" journal but some artists might color wash pages or have imagery on them. Anything goes so long as you can write in the journal as a blank journal.

Help! I am new to this - so bear with me. What happens now? Appears our hostess has cancelled. What does that mean? I mailed my journal to my swap partner and also sent her an email, but I still do not know if she got it. Any suggestions?? Thanks everybody!
