Geeky Cross Stitch Fun!!!

Requirements:

  • Sent each partner 1 geeky cross stitched item. This can be in a hoop or just the material (cheaper to send that way if you have to go international).

  • Material should measure at least 6 x 6 (if this size seems unreasonable please let me know and I will alter it. I have never hosted a cross stitch swap before although most of the things I have made will fit on a piece about that size and smaller, opinions are welcome on this requirement)

  • Senders choice although it should be in a geeky theme (obviously) and should not contain anything offensive unless you check with your partner first (if they are cool with it then it's fine)

Eligibility:

  • Must be a member of the group and in good standing.

  • Must not have any unexplained 1's or 3's

  • I screen evey profile on the day I assign partners, and periodically throughiout the signup period. If you have a question about a potential questionable swapper please PM me any time.

Ratings:

  • Please rate your partners after receiving your package, there is nothing worse than thinking something you sent out has not arrived.

  • I require that all participants of my swaps rate using the official swap-bot rules

  • For this swap rate based on receiving 1 geeky cross stitched piece, sent on time, this is a semi profile based swap, everyone has different talents and tastes.

Oh hell yeah!!! I love this!!!! I'm in I hope this on is a success so we can host more, Can it also include embroidery? I do both but some people may prefer embroidery over cross stitch

I think Nyan Cat is more of an Internet Meme than an ACTUAL cat, plus his body is made of pop tarts and who doesn't love pop tarts (with strawberry icing, yum!)... so he's in!

Is it alright if it's cross stitched on plastic canvas? I've been making awesome little nerdy fridge magnets with ultra fine plastic canvas I cut to the shapes of the finished design. Obviously I'd do enough little designs to equal out about "6x6", like 4 or something. Just thought I'd ask, I LOVE nerdy pixel cross stitch, there are soooo many great designs out there!

Well if it's profile based, it shouldn't be hard to look on your partner's profile and find something nerdy you could work on. Or something generally nerdy. The thing that gets me is that cross stitch can take a LONG time, a lot of work. If I did magnets for someone I would likely do 4-5 small ones.

@Jester777 I did leave 20 days for crafting between the sign up date and the send date so everyone would have lots of time to craft their item. It's not strictly profile based, if you notice I posted that it needs to be not offensive to your partner, and in a geeky theme. It doesn't have to come straight off their profile. It sounds like maybe you and I should do a private swap I will PM you. That way you get something cool and I get some awesome fridge magnets and people participating here won't have to worry about that possibility :)
