I have noticed a lof of swappers on this site either have, adore, and love their cats, or all cats in general. So for this swap I say: create mail art in that theme! The envie (big-card size, or bigger if you wish) should be all about cats! So use collage, rubber-stamps, ink, glitter glue, etc. and let your partner see what hi-jinks your cat gets up to! One swapper has revealed through her swap-name that her cats eat crayons! Or if you prefer a certain breed, go to town with that (I am partial to Burmese and Abyssinians for instance) It's foolhardy to think the post-office will let your masterpiece through unscathed, so put a little flat something inside for your partner to make the envelope cancelling-machine friendly. (Suggestions are cat notecard with envie, cat stickers, cat pictures from a magazine you think they might find useful in a future swap - - -) Mail-art rocks! Let's wow the post-office with our art, as well as your partner!

im just starting out on swap bot, so i have a question. we decorate an envelope with cats <3 and then mail that envelope? like with stickers and whatever else in it?

You have the general idea: decorate like crazy, make it your best work, something you'd love to receive, and to make it easier to cancel, put something in the envelope as the postal machines tear the heck out of a light empty envelope. If you affix stickers or make a collage, tape it down well. Hope this helps! Glad to have you!
