Make a nice tag that represents the city you live in. Decorate the back of the tag, too - your city has more than one remarkable facet! But, remember to still put your swap name on the back, and the date. Make it so nice that your partner will want to visit your city! Use charms, ribbon, etc - and you CAN go outside the edges. If this swap proves popular, I'll make it a regular swap, using capital cities of Canada, then other important (and aren't they all) cities and towns of Canada. Use the # 5 tags you can find at any office supply store (4 3/4 x 2 3/8 inches or 12 x 9 cm) - the top of the tag will have the corners cut at a slant, and have the hole in the middle. I love to display my tags just using a binder ring. You can make your own tag, IF you use 110 lb weight cardstock (this is heavier than regular cardstock). I'm going to give a lot of time to sign up - I have too many swaps due at the end of the month already, but I don't want to forget this idea. Hopefully, everybody can get it started before partners are assigned. Edit: ravenpixielove and I will make two tags, one as above and the other showing our respective provincial flag, flower and BIRD on it. |
