For this swap you will have one partner and to that partner you will send one Snowman Garland. For me, snowmen make great holiday decor, but they can also be displayed during all the winter months. The only requirements are that the garland be at least 30" long and that it be strung horizontally (side-to-side) instead of vertically (up-and-down). For those who decorate for Christmas, we can put it right up on our mantel or string it across a door. You may choose to picture snowman faces only (a lot of prim/country designs do this), or the entire snowman body. Snowmen can be made out of paper or fabric; I've even seen snowmen faces created from the painted tops of tin cans. If you find some lovely snowman ornaments, you may use those as well. You may decide to use a mixture of items--just make certain the design is cohesive. String your items thoughtfully, making certain that your "string" is strong enough to hold your items. Try to embellish your string (or ribbon or wire) with ribbon, beads, etc. You will have 4 weeks from sign-up to the send date. I'm a horrible procrastinator but I know Kris @greenraisin and lots of others are probably time management gurus. The 4 weeks will give you plenty of time to indulge your creative spirit and still get it to your partner in time to decorate for the holiday season. I've also set the send date for AFTER Thanksgiving, so you won't be rushing around to the post office while trying to cook the family dinner. If you belong to this group, you are a creative soul and your ratings are excellent. So...come join the fun! |
