I love altered text ATCs! They are quite simple and fun to see what you can come up with. So let's create! You will each have 2 partners to create 1 ATC for with altered text. So a total of two ATCs. The rules are simple. Make a standard size ATC, 2.5x3.5 inches, and cover it with a book page. Then you make up a phrase, sentence, story, etc out of the words that are on the book page you have on your ATC. It can be amusing or touching, plain or fancy, detailed or abstract, all depending on the psyche of you, the creator. Once you've got your phrase, sentence, story or whatever all figured out, you'll attach them all together so that your partner can see your chosen text in the order you want it to be in. Then you create the background, which will cover the rest of the text, leaving only your chosen text showing. You can use any medium you like, i.e. paint, markers, glitter, colored pencils, stamps, stamped images, ephemera, etc. The theme this time is summer. What does summer mean to you? Vacation, beach, pool, hot weather, anything to do with summer. A rating of 4.5 is required, and newbies with well filled-out profiles are welcome. The ATC pictured above is one I made for the last swap. Some other examples are found here. |
