Description:

This is a swap using the fabulous doll stamps by Julie Nutting. They are large stamps and run from about 6" to 7 1/2" tall.

If you don't know what they are just do a google search and you can find them. All sorts of places sell the stamps and cards and embellishments to go with them!

For this swap you will make a tag for each of two swap partners. Each month we will have a different theme. This months theme is:

FALL/AUTUMN (NOT Halloween, that's next!)

Use your imagination. It can be anything that brings to mind to YOU what fall is about. It could be leaves, back to school, pumpkins, whatever autumn means to you. Maybe it's plaids, football, fall colors, etc. (This does NOT include Halloween. That is the next round of swapping! :)

You will need to have at least 5 different embellishments including the background. you can use stamps, paper, paint, colored pencils, pens, etc. The doll must also be well decorated, whether that be painted, colored or paper pieced. Feel free to add more if you like! Tiny shells, brads, charms, ribbon, paper, flowers, etc.

You will have two partners. This IS sender's choice, so even if you don't care for what you got, if it meets the criteria, you need to give a 5 rating. You CAN look at your swap partners' profiles and see likes or dislikes.

I plan on doing one each month. You will have 4 weeks to work on these so there is plenty of time for inspiration!

You must not have any unresolved 1's. No recent 3's, without an explanation. I WILL allow newbies with a well filled out profile. Flakers will be banned from any future swaps. I WILL angel if need be, but let's make this fun and everyone send on time. If you don't think you can follow the criteria or send, then don't sign up.

I WILL be checking profiles. If you have been in previous swaps I've hosted and failed to rate, I will ban you for that too if it is not resolved by the time partners are selected. Rating is just about as important as sending. I want this to be fun, and rewarding.

(Image is not my work, just shown as an example of the doll stamp and what you can do with it)

happy swapping!

P.S., you MUST use an actual doll stamp. It is NOT okay to print something off the internet and use it. The whole point of this swap is to use the stamps this swap is created for. This is a MUST. If you receive something not made with a stamp then you should rate a 3, no matter what else is involved. I'm posting this so it is clear, and so there is no confusion on how to rate if you receive a swap that does not meet this basic criteria. Thanks!

I am so excited about this swap, last Sunday I made one of these at a rubber Stamping Event and fell in love with these dolls. I didn't buy any as I mostly make ATC's, but I just ordered one online to do this swap! Yea!

woohoo! Glad you joined us. I am in love with them too! I currently have 2, and ordered a few more. Can't wait for all the awesome stamp tags. I should start a flickr thread but flickr and photobucket have both got me stumped! :)
