My daughter is learning english as a second language in school, so today she asked me: "Wouldn´t it be nice if in my class we could have penpals? That way, we could practice writing and get to know new people!" So this swap is not for you, but for your daughter or son, niece, granddaughter, grandson, etc. If you happen to have a little writer in the house, who is also, like mine, always intrigued by what you´re doing sending all that stuff to people you don´t really know, this is for you both. You will help your kid write or type a minimum 1 page letter to 1 partner. and I say help, because this is an international swap, and I hope to get people from around the world. So maybe your kid is just learning english, like mine, and needs your help. We are from Rio, Brazil. Simple enough, right? In order to join, please have a full profile. And write in the comment section - right here - the name and age of the kid that is participating, and if you´d like, some of his or hers likes and dislikes. If you do type the letter, try to make it interesting using pretty stationary, or different (yet readable) fonts, pictures, anything to make a good first letter to someone else. If the kid wants, help him or her select some extras to send. A good example would be stickers or pretty papers. Please no candy - it could melt and destroy the letter. This is a physically mailed swap. NO emails or sending this electronically. Written or typed and in an envelope with proper postage. NEWBIES with well filled profiles will be welcome. I will angel if needed. Or Maria, 9 years old, will. :) |
