Description: | |
For this swap, you will create a spring themed altered object to hang from a doorknob. The object you choose to alter is up to you, but it must include some way to hang it from the doorknob, such as a ribbon or a wire for example. This is a springtime swap, so think: flowers, gardens, birds, eggs, nests, butterflies, new beginnings, etc. This isn't an Easter swap, so no Easter eggs or Easter bunnies please. Now...what might you want to alter? I have a few ideas, but I'm sure you all probably have some great ideas of your own. Feel free to share your ideas below if you would like. My ideas: a CD, a book cover, a garden glove, a vintage "lady-like" glove, a baby shoe, a child size sun hat, a garden trowel (rusty & grungy!), a piece of driftwood, a seashell...the sky's the limit! I do ask that you use a sturdy object to alter - cloth is fine, but if paper is part of the object (such as a book cover), please make sure it's a hardcover book. It's fine to use some paper as part of your altered object (I LOVE handmade paper flowers), but just be sure your creation is sturdy enough to last a few springs. Make it pretty, but also fairly strong, ok? =) One last thought...this is not a profile based swap, but it's always a good idea to have a look see at your partner's profile. Not only is a profile a great source of inspiration, it also lets you know what colors, themes, etc. your partner will LOVE. Please enjoy the creative process and happy spring!! |
