Description:

Let's try some tip-ins for the first art journal pages in our new group! Tip-ins are art journal pages which we create and send to our partners loose, not inside a journal, and our partner then attaches to a blank page in their own journals. If these work out well, we'll try them again as many times as people would like to.

For this round, send two 4x6" pages to one partner. These pages will coordinate with each other somehow, so your partner can put them side by side in her art journal. The theme of the art pages for this round will be chosen by your partner. That is, she will give you at least five theme options, listed below, and you will choose at least one as your page theme. Art journal pages ARE ART. Art is subjective, and any supplies are acceptable for this round. But please be sure to put time and effort into your pages.

Package your pages securely and DO NOT FOLD THEM for mailing. It's a good idea to take a photo of them as well.

While you're at it... Why not create a page or two for yourself as well? A nice way to start your journal off!

So... After you sign up for the swap, list your five page theme suggestions below, in the comments.

Rate a five (or five and heart!) if you receive two 4x6 inch art journal pages, which can be placed side by side in your own book, and use one of the themes you suggested.

Do your best work, and send on time!

What the... why did all my themes jam together like that?!

You have to put two lines/spaces between items to make a list. But it's readable your way - don't worry.

Not sure which journal these will be added to but I tend to use the same themes over and over again:

birds/nests/eggs

quotes about creativity and art

positive quotes - but not cutesy (no "Live. Love. Laugh." or "Dance like no one is watching")

sewing/crafting/art-making

travel/adventure/explore

I'm up for anything as a theme, but if you're stuck these are my five suggestions:

Yoga

Tarot cards/fortune telling/astrology

Books!!!

Nighttime

Traveling/airplanes/pilots

(Actually I'm up for anything as well, if you are my partner and you read down this far! If you are creatively inspired in another direction, please go for it!)
