Description:
I have looked around for a Block of the Month and thought perhaps the Craftsy 2015 Summer Block of the Month class would be fun to do as a Quilting Chums BOM swap. This is a free class. If you have not been to the Craftsy website, this is a great platform with videos, participants comments and photos. You can take a look at the class here: http://www.craftsy.com/class/2015-summer-block-of-the-month/5112?ct=sbqii-sqjuweho-dum&ctp=2&rceId=1439745218681~9heqsap1 We will do Block one, the Sawtooth Star as our first swap. You do not need to commit to making each block in the swap. Fabric choice is up to the quilter, this way our quilt will look scrappy when put together. One partner, one block.

On this first one (and the others, too) there are variations--does it matter which one we do?

Also, These are all 121/2" blocks (12" all finished), right?

No, it does not matter which variation you choose to do. Yes, the blocks will finish at 12 inches so the blocks are 12 1/2 inches when constructed.
