Lay a strip of Scotch Tape on a craft mat or something the tape will lift off easily. In a small container, mix one part dish soap with 2 parts acrylic paint. I used gold but, you can use whatever color you want. Gently stir the soap & paint trying to avoid air bubbles. I stirred it with my paint brush. Now paint the Scotch Tape & allow to air dry for one hour. Paint the tape again & let dry one hour. Paint one more time & let dry one hour. During the drying process (just a suggestion) make your ATC. Have a word or words no taller than the tape somewhere on the ATC. It can be part of the rubber stamp or you can add the word. When your paint is dry, pull it gently off the craft mat & lay it over the word on your ATC. You can cut off the excess tape or wrap it around the back. Attach the ATC to a sturdy backing. Your partner will take a coin & scratch off the paint to reveal the word. One ATC to one partner. The sample on the left shows the paint scratched off. The sample on the right show the strip of paint still on the ATC. Very important....you mail the ATC with the paint still on the tape. Your partner will scratch it off. |
