This month alter or decorate a glass bottle for your partner. I have done quite a few altered bottle swaps and I just love them! Yes, I know glass is heavier than plastic but I prefer glass products over plastic products any day-so glass it is! Package in a box with bubbles or packing peanuts, etc or whatever works for you so that your art doesn't break.

Do a google image search or look around on pinterest for some beautiful examples if needed.

Because it is a bottle I guess this falls into an object in most cases but you can use any size bottle you choose. So if you use a liquor shot bottle I guess it would be easy enough to turn it into an ornament but you don't have to and you can use any size bottle. Ideas- liquor shot bottle, any size liquor bottle, some medicines come in glass bottles, purchase a bottle at a craft store, a maple syrup bottle, whatever! Clean it out though, ha ha, but that probably goes with out saying.

How to decorate it? I have used and received on bottles any and all craft bits, altered art bits, game pieces, jewelry bits, findings, papers, paints, buttons, ribbons, fabric, labels, book pages, glitter, endless really. How to get it to stick? I've used a combo of ModPodge, glue gun, & E6000 depending on the object I'm attaching.

What to do with the inside of the bottle? Again-your choice. My partners have used colored sand, individually wrapped caramels (in a large mouth bottle!), gauzy fabric inside, and nothing at all. I have also left mine empty or filled it with ephemera and bits that matched the subject at hand. You can also completely paint or cover the bottle so you can't see inside or you can leave some of the glass free to see in.

Hanging Ornaments can be 3D or flat, objects probably need some dimension so 3D. Objects can be decorative like a haunted house or usable such as handmade coasters. Sender's choice as long as it meets Halloween Altered BottleTheme but please look at partner's profile just in case and consider avoiding dislikes. (need flatish ideas to cut down on postage try cross stitch, embroidery, sewing/applique, crochet, knit, decorate/alter wood die cuts, paper crafts, painting, illustrations, altered journal, matchbook or tin, some jewlery)

Do nice work, send on time, communicate with your partner as needed! Open to all group members-this month USA only, I do check profiles. I will angel if you need to rate a 1, hopefully that doesn't happen but let me know if it does.

I will try to remember to take a photo of the lovely bottles I've received (most are Halloween-ish anyway-YAY) and post it as the image sometime this week.
