Squirt shaving cream (the cheapest kind works just as well) into a container. I use disposable metal trays but you can even use paper plates. Add a few drops of reinkers or gel food coloring each of 2 colors & swirl together like you do for a marble cake. I use an unsharpened pencil. Make sure the colors mix well together because colors like red & green make brown. Press the cardstock into the shaving cream just enough to cover the cardstock. Remove the cardstock & scrape off the shaving cream with a ruler or old credit card. Scrape the used shaving cream back into your container. You can use the same mixture several times before it starts to get muddy. Allow the cardstock to dry before using. This looks pretty enough to make a pretty card front by itself but we are making ATC's. Stamp or collage on your ATC. Just make sure your background shows & attach this to a sturdy backing. I suggest using rubber gloves & spreading newpaper on your work area. Although I usually skip the rubber gloves part because the ink eventually comes off my fingers. I like living dangerously. |
