So what does TEA TIME mean to you? I picture pretty china tea cups and plates, a tea pot, maybe some cookies too with lace on the table and even some ladies sitting around the table visiting and enjoying a hot beverage. If you are not a tea drinker you can pretend it is hot cocoa or coffee they are drinking!

Your mini art quilt should be at least 8”X8” to 16”x16” and doesn’t have to be square. Be sure to put your name on the back with fabric marker or with a label.

Using your imagination for this swap you will create one TEA TIME mug rug. You may applique a tea cup or tea pot or anything related to this theme. Maybe you want to do some embroidery on your TEA TIME mug rug. How about paper piecing a TEA TIME mug rug top? Whatever you create should be more than just tea pot fabric quilted and should include at least 3 of the following things:

--a doily

--embroidery

--applique

--paper piecing

--buttons

--a tea cup or tea pot

--trim, rickrack, lace

--treats to eat with tea
