Description:

There is nothing more down to earth than the rock beneath our feet.

Gems, Rocks and Crystals are things of light & beauty. Since ancient times they have offered us a wealth of ways to heal our spirit and enhance our lives, physically, mentally and emotionally.

You will have two (2) swap partners for this swap and it will be international.

You will send at least one unique rock, gem or cyrystal along with an explanation of its properties (identifcation & care, magic, healing functions and practical ideas) to each of your partners.

Please make sure you read your partners' profiles to find a choice that will call to them in some way.

With their fascinating forms and enchanting colors, nothing else on Earth is like them. A gemstone is the naturally occurring crystalline form of a mineral which is desirable for its beauty, valuable in its rarity, and is durable enough to be enjoyed for generations. Many crystals are as old as our planet. Some people think of them as Record Keepers of the planet.

All crystal and gemstones are living organisms. Crystals have life energy of their own. They are living in some manner of the word as they slowly grow in clusters. They are part of the Mineral Kingdom. Crystals vibrate to their own frequency. The frequency they send out will determine which crystal you will chose at a certain point in your life. You chose different crystals as your needs in life change. When choosing a crystal, pause and ask for the wisdom to choose the crystal that would be right for you or the person you are giving it to.

If you've always been drawn to stones, rocks and the like . . .join this swap and see what you get and from where!!!!

RULES (even though I hate them) Rating of 4.5 or better, with NO no sends in the past six months. Go ahead and message me if you’ve been rated unfairly at any point or have a good reason for your lower rating or the no sends, and we’ll talk. I’m certainly open to listening - as I understand LIFE HAPPENS!

Newbies allowed, but with filled out profiles please by the time you are signing up.

Communication is key. If you’re going to be late with the swap, let your partner know. If your partner tells you he/she is going to be late, and keeps up the communication, give him/her a break. Sometimes things come up that just can’t be helped. Life happens!

I reserve the right to ban anyone that I think might be a problem. This means people that I've noticed have a history of rating unfairly, nastiness, etc. I believe in playing nice & fairly.

ENJOY, Have FUN - after-all, this is a HOBBY . . they are supposed to give you joy & happiness!!!!!!!!

Sounds cool! I love to go gem mining.

sweetthay 09/23/2008 #

I live near two cities that are amazing on selling gems - Cristalina and Pirenópolis! I can easily go there and find the most beautiful gems ever!! It'll be great! =) I hope you accept me.

LadyT 09/24/2008 #

I can't wait to see what I get and I'm also having fun deciding which of my favorite ones to give!!!!!

koolgranny 09/26/2008 #

My hushand and I go out alot and look for gem stones. We have quite the collection. This sounds like a great swap.

sweetthay 09/29/2008 #

I've just come back from "Costa do Sauípe" - Salvador, a beach area in the estate of Bahia (Brazil). I brought a LOT of gems with me. They sell it in little bags, devided by colors and sorts... Amazing! I'm so excited about this swap! =)

LadyT 09/29/2008 #

Nice - glad you are enjoying!

tinnuwen 09/30/2008 #

This is an absolutely wonderful idea! :) I LOVE stones, have always loved them, thus I simply have to participate! :)

Can we - just in case - state if there's a stone we particularly don't like working with, or that's tricky? I like moonstones, but it's difficult for me to find the right ones for me, thus I'd rather not receive one from someone else.

Yes, if there is a stone, rock or gem that you would prefer NOT to recieve - you can either "gift" it to someone else or state that in your profile and/or write your partner directly. I find it interesting that many times other people seem to know which ones I need but I may not like or be fond of. Food for thought, huh?

tinnuwen 09/30/2008 #

Well, since an object given from someone who has the best intentions for you, loves you or at least likes you can be more right for you than anything you get for yourself, maybe there's something about that friend or whoever it is who gets you something feeling what's right for you. :) I once got a Moldavite for a friend's brother (it's one of the native stones of the Czech Republic, where I'm from) and it ended up the best stone I could have ever given... :)

Here! Here!

Just got back from rock hunting this week-end in Deming, New Mexico. My husband and I got some beautiful green and purple florite. I love all gems and minerals, I would be happy with anything. I've also picked up Apache Tears, their laying all over the ground.

LadyT 10/ 9/2008 #

I moved to Vermont a year ago from Taos NM and miss it . . . .so lucky you! They have staurolites (Fairy Crosses) in Taos and its only one of a few places in the whole world that does.Apache Tear, I'm not familiar with but would love to see one. Puprle florite sounds very cool too. Did you hunt them yourself or buy them?

LadyT 10/ 9/2008 #

LOL - did a little research on Apache Tears . . . .they correspond with my astrological sign (Aries). Very Cool! I guess I need to have one!!!!!!

LadyT 10/10/2008 #

I recently discovered that my earth-based gem for my birth month is Opal . . .so whoever gets me for a partner, this is an idea! (lol). Lady T

FULL MOON (Blood Moon) at 5:13 am on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

CLEANSE YOUR CRYSTALS THIS FULL MOON - OR MAKE A TINCTURE OUT OF THEM BY PLACING THEM IN THE MOONLIGHT, OVERNIGHT.

LadyT 10/13/2008 #

You can also bury your crystals in the earth on this FULL MOON and leave them there for one to two weeks or moon cycles. Bury during a full moon and unearth at the time of a new moon.

koolgranny 10/15/2008 #

We go to the old mines and dig though the tailings and you can find some really good pieces. My husband says I'm really lucky to fine the biggest and prettiest stones. I just bought a 75 lb. crystal from and elder gentleman in Deming, New Mexico. Right now I have it in the formal dining room on my table. We made a base for it and wrapped silver satin around it. It makes a wonderful center piece.

whinendine 10/18/2008 #

There aren't any here in Florida, but my post office is right in the middle of a Spiritual Camp and there are great crystals, etc for sale. I love going there and the energy is so amazing.

eyeskater 10/20/2008 #

I have a bit of a problem with moonstone too. It is beautiful and I love it, but it took me awhile to realize that I can't wear them. They drain my energy...absolutely zap me. I can have them tucked away in a box, but not in jewelry....weird huh?

tinnuwen 10/21/2008 #

Moonstones seem to be strange... :) Either you love them or you have a real problem with them? That's at least with the people I know. I got myself a moonstone ring I felt sure would be right for me, but it seems as if it doesn't like me at all. We're like opposite poles or something. It's quite amazing. :o A pity though, too... :(((

Anyway... I know WHERE I'll get my swap partners' stones... and it'll take me a while (but I'll be on time, no worries there)... but it'll be worth it, I believe. :)

sweetthay 10/23/2008 #

I've sent the two packages today! They have a few extra surprises. I hope my partners like it!!

Herkimer Diamond Elixir is Here!!!!!

Herkimer Diamonds are called the "stones of attunement". While it is not actually diamond, it is a quartz that often resembles the sparkling clarity of diamonds.

It can be metaphysically programmed to attune one to an environment, a situation, a quality, or most anything.

It is said to assist with balance on the mental, emotional and physical levels.

It can be used effectively to clear and open any chakra.

It is professed to relieve tension and thereby promote peace of mind.

Psychically, it's useful for auric cleansing and dream recall. Mystical lore says that physically it can be used to heal addictions and remove toxins.

Herkimer Diamonds are associated with the crown chakra.

Herkimer Diamonds help connect the astral plane with the earth plane.

Herkimer Diamonds make super powerful elixirs that have a charging effect on many levels.

The Mother Elixir: Herkimer Diamonds are supercharged by placing them in pure water in athin glass bowl and left under a full moon over night. Using the natural power of the four elements - Earth, Air, Fire & Water - the life-force or energy of theHerkimer Diamond is transferred to the water. This unique positive energy is then preserved in apple cider, creating a mother elixir, which is then amplified using Reiki.

4 ounce Blue Spray Plastic Bottle = $10 4 ounce Amber Glass Bottle w/Dropper = $12

The stock bottles are made from the Mother Elixir and are hand bottle and labled with light & loving care by Butterfly Light-Keeper. No physical part of the Herkimer Diamond is used in the essence - it is purely the vibrational frequency or energy.

tinnuwen 10/31/2008 #

@LadyT I've been getting the Slowtime newsletter for a while now. :)

I'll be going on holiday tonight - and I just know where I'll get the stones for my swap there as I'll be in the Czech Republic and there's one rarity that is only found there. :) It's nothing huge, but extra-special. Well, and who knows what else I'll find. :)

LadyT 10/31/2008 #

Safe & fun travels!!!!

THANK YOU to niecedenise for offering to ANGEL AuntieM's swaps. It seems like AuntieM has dissapeared and no communication on her profile. So I sure do hope the swap partners of AuntieM's thank niecedenise for her kindness.

LadyT 11/24/2008 #

I have sent a couple of emails to the admin. people but have not gotten an answer. Below is a response to my question posted on the Forums.

This really effects Hidnomen and Sweethay - they won't receive a rating for this swap - since AuntiM flaked.

If anyone knows any other way to make ratings posisble, please let me/us know. Thanks - Lady "T"

hiya..

the only way to get a reroute rated is to get the new partners to set up a private swap.. i usually advise my reroutes to do this, and call the private something like "reroute of xyz" then explain in the swap description that a flaker has caused the reroute.. the person receiving will then rate as normal, the person who is rerouting, can either NOT rate or give the same rating as the recipient got for their package...

as for the flaker rating... i doubt that will happen.. they grab as much as they can and RUN as fast as they can :(

thankfully from now on the new swaplimit will hamper their devious attempts to a HUGE degree :D :D

LadyT 11/24/2008 #

Koolgranny had a total hip replacement today . .so please consider sending her well wishes. Not sure how soon she'll be back online - but I am sure she would love to come home to lots of SWAP-BOT thoughts & prayers.. Thanks, Lady "T".

P.S.: If you'd like to send her a snail-mail card, email me and I'll send you her mailing address.

sweetthay 01/26/2009 #

I've been flaked by both partners in this swap... Too bad.
