INTERNATIONAL. This is a challenge for dotee doll makers who dabble in a lot of crafts: How handmade can you make your doll? Your dotee doll must have at least one "from scratch" component, though the challenge is to make the doll as much from scratch as possible. Include a note telling your partner which component(s) you made from scratch. Examples of a "from scratch" component: make the fabric for the front by knitting, weaving, or crocheting; dye or fabric paint plain cloth for the front; make beads from polymer clay or paper coated with UTEE or glaze; make charms from shrink plastic or polymer clay; use handspun wool for hair; knit and felt the back yourself. I'm sure people will come up with a lot more ideas too; feel free to post them in the comments. Definition of a dotee doll for the purposes of this swap:

If you receive the above from your partner, you will rate them a "5". Whether or not you give a heart is entirely up to you. Late swapping: Please do not be late sending out. If you absolutely must be late (because bad things do happen), please PM both myself and your partner. I don't want to have to chase people down to see if they are flaking or just late. I will angel this swap if I need to - please don't make me have to! If you have any questions, please PM me. As needed, I will re-post any questions and my answers here in the comments section in case other people are wondering the same thing. |
