Description:

The September Equinox is on the 22nd this year. It is one of our High Holy Days and is the second Harvest Festival. We all see equal days & equal nights as the Sun rises due East & sets due West for us all.

You will have one partner and will make a very simple divination tool that represents the holiday.

Find FOUR small objects that are similar in size and shape, such as 4 small stones, 4 small pieces of wood or even 4 coins. Paint, mark or carve one side on each of THREE objects to have them recognized as either a yes or a no. On the fourth object, please paint, mark or carve a White Round Circle or Dot to represent the Full Moon. Leave the other side unmarked or with an Empty Circle to represent the Dark Moon. This object is for the timing of the question.

These are decorating suggestions only. What is done is sender's choice. You might wish to put them in a small bag or container so they can be kept on your partner's altar. TEST YOUR OBJECTS to make sure they are not weighted to roll the same way each time.

This divination tool is for yes/no answers. When you receive your divination tool, consecrate it however works in your practice. Determine which sides represent the yes. Set your sacred space and find your spiritual center. Hold them in your hand when you as the question and cast them into the center of your circle.

Key: Three yes objects = Yes; Three no objects = No; Two yes objects & one no object = A struggle, and eventually a Yes; Two no objects & one yes object = Maybe, yet the outcome is influenced by others

If you want timing, use the 4th object marked with Full and Dark Moons. Obviously this timing is for the turning of the Moon. You can determine a different time in advance.

We do not flake in this circle. It is sender's choice. Send on time. Rate when you receive. Be sure to send a note with information about the group, swap name, your ID and perhaps about the objects.

I played several tossing games as a child, some for divination like this one, using even more objects. Then I remember getting a game of Jacks for a gift and LOVED that one. Seems that a lot of cultures have different versions of it.
