"Endo What?" That's what many people used to say 20 years ago when they heard the word endometriosis. No one really knew what it was! So many women went without a proper diagnosis because it was very often overlooked by doctors. Many, many women were told "it's all in your head." Endo is the #1 cause of infertility in women. It continues to be misdiagnosed however it IS becoming more of a household word. Recently a documentary titled Endo What was produced and has premiered around the world. It should be on "Discovery Health" soon. The purpose of this swap is to further awareness. That Endometriosis exists and can be cruel and crippling. For others it can be as simple as bad cramps. For me, it changed my life dramatically. For this swap you will have one partner. To that partner create a piece of "mail art" meaning your envelope should be decorated in yellow, yellow awareness ribbons, zentangle the word "ENDOMETRIOSIS". It's completely up to you. Let your piece of mail serve as a message that this often horrific disease exists! It's all about awareness! Inside the envelope share with your partner how endo has affected your life or the life of someone you love. As this can be a very private issue for some do not rate down if you don't receive a two page letter. What you share is up to you! Things to consider: What comforts your pain? What treatments have helped you the most? What treatments did not work for you at all? Where do you receive support from? Recap: A piece of mail art covered to spread awareness of this crippling disease! Yellow! Yellow! Yellow! Inside, share your story giving as much detail as you feel comfortable with. You must have a 4.9 rating to participate. I will angel but seriously don't think it should come to that. This is serious. |
