Description: | |
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads for this technique. I used both, watercolor cardstock & regular cardstock & it didn't matter which one I used because the results were the same. On a craft mat, I smeared 3 colors of TH Distress Ink close to each other but not touching. I did not want to contaminate the ink pads with other colors. Then I spritzed the ink with 2 or 3 pumps from my little water bottle. Then, lay the cardstock on the sprayed ink. I lightly pressed the cardstock into the ink. Do not move the cardstock around or you will get a more smudged look. Dry with a heat tool. If you do not have one, you can just let it dry on its own. But make sure it is dry before you go onto the next step. Now stamp or draw to finish the rest of the ATC. I do not care what ink you use if you stamp it because it is the background we are working on. Lighter colors will work best for this. Be sure to add a sturdy backing. |
