Description:

There are several stocking stuffer swaps out there, but this one is for knitters. For this swap you will send 5 wrapped items to one partner. Expect to spend $10-$15 before shipping. Include items that a knitter might use like stitch markers, tape measure, other knitting notions, yarn, patterns (not free internet ones). You might also include items a knitter might appreciate like notecards with a yarn theme, smallish handknitted items like dishcloths, fingerless gloves, change purse etc.

You might like to list below your Ravelry name and what kinds of things you like to knit to give you partner ideas.

To participate, you'll need at least a 4.9 rating and have logged onto swap-bot within 5 days of partners being assigned.

Just a thought - maybe we should list below what we like to knit best? I love to make socks and small things like tree ornaments and amigurumi. I love leftover sock yarn, and crazy colors are fine! I do all socks on two circular needles.

Good suggestion, kgeslab. I like to knit socks, hats, mittens, scarves, items that can be finished in about a week. I don't have the attention span for sweaters.

I'm new to knitting so I'm still trying all sorts of new things. I tend to stick towards smaller fun projects, bags, scarves, hats, flowers because larger projects still seem a bit overwhelming.

Hmm, I am an Intermediate knitter and like to knit blankets, sweaters, baby items and wedding gifts. I live in central Arizona, so scarves, hats, mittens etc. are not as needed here. Really, I am not that picky!

Anything goes really, socks, hats, gloves, mittens, sweaters, cute baby things for friends and a some lace.

Hi, I'm an obsessive knitter currently enjoying socks and cardigans. Just learned how to knit cables so I'm doing them all the time. In general I like resource guides more than patterns, and I do everything, including hats, from the top down. Check out my projects and stash (with photos!) on ravelry - my username there is interbang.

Hi everyone - I love knitting, and usually in the warmer months in Oz, tend to stick to cotton. Enjoy doing dishcloths, but have made handbags, scarves, and my biggest project - a long sleeve cardigan for my husband. Have yet to venture into socks - mainly a matter of finding the right yarn.

I like to knit socks. They are so practical but they can be so beautiful. I like vibrate colors.

I knit a bit of everything (socks, scarves - not lace, mittens, sweaters, ornaments, fingerless mitts) and enjoy knitting gadgets of all kinds because I can have duplicates in different project bags. I also love small project bags to carry my sock projects around in.

I'm not too fussy about yarn with the exception of three things - the color orange as I have no desire to wear it in anything, novelty yarn and 100% acrylic yarn. I'm yarn snob and a wool girl (maybe that comes from living in Minnesota!). But at least I will admit my addiction!

My Ravelry id is knitgirl63.

I really like to knit socks and lace. I love to learn new techniques and am always trying new patterns. I love all the little knitting notions and little bags to keep them in. You can never have enough stitch markers (love the locking ones), small scissors, needle gauges or measuring tapes. I also like #6 beads and #10 metal crochet hooks for adding beads to my knitting.

I don't use novelty or acrylic/polyester yarns and really like wool the best. I don't use orange yarn either.

I'm Spinsagoodyarn on Ravelry.

My ravelry name is crochetjunkie. I have been mostly doing crocheting for the last 20 years. Last year this time I tried knitting and got real frustrated because all i could ever stitch was garter(I don't think it's the prettiest stitch). i watched a couple youtube videos and now I LOVE knitting! Stockinette stitch is my favorite one!!

I love cottontots and cotton as well as super soft yarns.

I would love some knit needle end thingys so I'm not always poking holes in my bags.lol Plus bigger needles like 13s.

Since I am so new to this, I prefer patterns for beginners or super easy ones for small projects.
