Description:

This is the swap for people who have a lot of spare postcards laying around that need to find a new home. You are going to send 26 postcards to one partner. You have to choose a postcard to represent each letter of the alphabet in some way. Some may require you to be a little more creative than others. Include each postcard either labeled or a piece of paper with your choices.

For example:

A- a postcard with an Apple

B- a blue postcard

C- a postcard with a cat

And so on and so forth through the whole alphabet. (These are not assignments. It is up to you to find postcard ideas for each letter. Feel free to post below to brainstorm with others if you are lost on an idea.)

Do not join unless you are prepared to send all 26 postcards! Have fun with it. Not all postcard choices have to be obvious, as long as you have an explanation as to why you chose it. Please rate positively if you have received all 26 postcards and your partner made an attempt to match them to each letter.

Participants must have completed 10 previous 2 or 3 type swaps. Postcards are to be unused and store bought all in a single envelope together. Feel free to ask questions for for ideas on what postcards you could use.

Should we write on the postcards why we chose them, or leave them blank?

crochetjunkie 10/29/2017 #

it says they are to be unused and we are suppose to label each pc with a note as to why each card was chosen.

@crochetjunkie I just wasn’t sure if “labeled” meant write on the postcard directly or use a post-it/other removable label. Just want to be sure I’m following instructions :) Thanks for the response!

I usually include a piece of paper that is labeled A-Z, and then write the subject of the card next to the letter. I really enjoy this swap!

You can either put a sticky note or something on each postcard or a list of postcards next to each letter. Up to you. However, do not write on postcards so they can be used later.
