I love all of the "fancy" stamps that the USPS puts out. Winter time especially brings all sorts of fun stamps. Have you see the new ones based on several classic Christmas Carols? I have, and I love them. So, for this swap, you will make a post card in the theme of one of the Christmas Carols featured on the stamps ("Deck the Halls", "Jingle Bells" "Silent Night" "Jolly Old St. Nicholas") and mail it with the coordinating stamp from the post office. This can be sent traditional style (stamp on the back) or "maxi" style (stamp on the front) if that is your partners preference. For the post card, make sure that it has the feel of the song (and stamp) that you will be using to send it. So, if you make a "Jingle Bells" inspired card, make sure to mail it using the "Jingle Bells" stamp. You can draw, collage, cut and past, use a found image, what have you. This is a type "3" so there should be thought put into making it. Post cards should be sent naked (so that we can see the card and the stamp) and as stated above, can be sent with the stamp on the back or on the front, check to see if your partner is ok with Maxi postcards before sending that way. You should have a 4.9 or higher. No newbies for this swap. No recent unexplained 1's or 3's or 1's due to active swapers. I will angel this swap if needed. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me or to leave a comment. I am setting with a just over a week to sign up and just over two weeks to send. This swap will be USA only because of the specific stamp required to be used to send the card. I will be hosting a generic seasonal stamp swap internationally as well. |
