I do know that this monthly swap has been absent for many months. I'm truly sorry about that but my computer broke in July and I wasn't able to replace it until now. I hope you all understand. This will be a monthly series of crocheted granny square swaps. Your will be making 4 crocheted granny squares per month for your one partner. You will have one month to complete once partners are assigned. However you can start working on them now if you choose to. All four squares may use the same pattern but should each have different colors or they may each use different patterns. It's entirely up to you. At the end of the 12 swaps you will have 48 crocheted granny squares. Due to cost I am making it USA only. At the end of the 12 swaps you will have enough crocheted granny squares to make a nice sized afghan. If you want it bigger, you can always add more crocheted granny squares. I always add a border to my afghans as well. Please Be Sure To Read My Rules! 1.All crocheted granny squares should measure 7 inches. Measure your crocheted granny squares so that they are as close to 7†as possible. Try to use a pattern that makes a 7†crocheted granny square. If they are too large or too small that will mess up your final product. If your crocheted granny square is coming out too large, try a smaller hook and if it is coming out to small, try a larger hook. It is best to measure as you are working on your crocheted granny square. Add or deduct row(s) at the end, if necessary. PATTERNS AND COLORS ARE SENDER'S CHOICE HOWEVER YOU MUST USE A PATTERN. 2.All crocheted granny squares should be made with worsted weight yarn, as we want our afghans all to be compatible, so the thickness will all be the same. 3.Use at least two colors for each crocheted granny square. You can use more than two colors, but you must use at least two colors. You can use solids or multicolored yarns, your choice. Since it is your choice on colors and patterns you can start on the crocheted granny squares right away. Multicolored yarn counts as one color. Any questions, please feel free to contact me. |
