If the Week of Happy Envies swap hosted by @shannonlinde had a baby with the Sending Smiles swap by @TwinMom it would be this one. A Chuckle a Day is designed to give your partner seven days of smiles, chuckles, laughs or happiness. To that end, prepare 7 envelopes, label each with either the day of the week (Sunday through Saturday) or in cardinal numbers (1st Day, 2nd Day, 3rd Day, etc.). Inside each envelope should be a smile for the day. Seal each envelope and with a note that has your name and the swap name on it, tuck all seven of them into a larger envelope addressed to your partner. That mailing envelope should be designed to make your partner smile; so pull out the washi tape, stickers, cut-outs or any other decoration to jazz it up at bit. Some ideas of where to find smiles: comics or cartoons; articles, and jokes long or short (keep it clean, ladies!) are a good place to start. Mine newspapers and newsletters, magazines like Reader’s Digest or Woman’s World, etc., your church bulletin, and, of course, the Internet. Maybe you come across a funny sign, you could snap a photo and send it in one of the envelopes. Your partner’s profile may also provide some hints on what might make her smile, laugh or chuckle. Also, your inserts don’t have to be on paper. Maybe it's an object you come across that will fill a day's envelope. Feel free to include more than one chuckle or smile in each envelope. If this first swap goes over well, we’ll do it again. To get us started, here’s one of my favorite silly jokes (from a Bazooka gum wrapper): Why do seagulls live by the sea?
