You will send one partner one ATC which you make using the following steps. Some steps require specific TH material to be used and are in bold text so be sure you have them! 1 Grab or create a solid black standard sized ATC blank. 2 Grab any size clear acrylic stamp block (or some suitable substitute) and your favorite color distress oxide ink pad. Smoosh the oxide ink pad on to one side of the acrylic block, lay the block on table with ink side up and then spritz the block with water. 3 Lay your black ATC on the inked block to make a sort of sandwich. Then flip the block over and lay the ATC side of your sandwich on the table so you can see the ink and ATC through the block. Now hold on to one corner of the ATC and lift the block up to separate the sandwich. Heat set the ATC as is. 4 The block should still have some ink left on it, use it like a rubber stamp to place the remaining ink on the ATC. Since you can see through the block you can place it in the more empty areas of the ATC or in any spot you'd like. You have all of the control! Heat set the ATC as needed to create the cool layered effect these oxides give! When all the ink is gone, clean the block off. 5 Repeat steps 2-4 with your second favorite color of distress oxide ink. 6 Repeat steps 2-4 with your third favorite color of distress oxide ink. 7 Repeat steps 2-4 with your fourth favorite color of distress oxide ink. 8 Find or create a coordinating TH inspired embellishment to add to your ATC. The embellishment should accent your background, not cover it. 9 Finish off your ATC if you think it’s too boring or empty. 10 Attach a sturdy backing to your ATC which includes at least the ATC title, your username, and date. I hope to host more of these but need to know what TH products everyone owns, so please comment on this thread. If you have any questions, sending a pm is the quickest way to reach me. I do try to check for comments on my swaps but sometimes I am not timely :-/ If there any issues with your partner following steps please inform @choke before rating down. I think it is common sense that there is always a chance that the steps were misinterpreted so some graciousness should be allowed here. As always I will angel if you are flaked on but only if you have rated your partner a 1. |
