Description: | |
Whoever wrote the rhyme about sticks and stones was wrong. There is great power in words, both spoken and written. Words have the power to wound, or to heal. To enrage or to soothe. To make a moment weighty, or to induce laughter. You will have one partner, to whom you will send three words that affect you in unexpected ways. Is there a particular word that makes you feel calm, even though the word itself has nothing to do with calmness? How about frightened, or joyful? Share your three words, tell your partner how they makes you feel, and elaborate if you can, about why the word affects you the way it does. If you can't, that's okay. Sometimes there is no rhyme nor reason behind our feelings! In addition to your "wordy" note, include a quote about the power of words. Send your letter or note card in an envelope decorated with words. Of course! Because we love wordsβ₯ The words may be cut-outs, hand-lettered, stickers, or washi tape letters, as you choose. In summary, three words which have an effect on your feelings, one quote about word power, and a decorated envie. Whether or not you include a tuck-in is entirely up to you. ETA: Please feel free to hand-write or type your letter; either is fine! |
