DISCLAIMER: NO ARTISTIC SKILL REQUIRED This is the 10th installment of the âStickers and...â series, and the previous âstickers and a sketchâ installments were so popular and so well loved, that weâre going to try making it a monthly thing. Hereâs one for February For this swap you can use either a notecard or a piece of paper (even something like printer paper is fine). On the notecard or paper you will make some sort of art. Any topic (non-controversial) is great. Make a sketch, ink drawing, marker or crayon picture, hey, even watercolors would be neat. In any case, choose a style and run with it. Stick figures are totally fine as long as you draw them (or try to) doing something. A bunch of abstract scribbles? Totally fine, too. This is very open ended. It might not hurt (especially if you are artistically challenged) to add a small caption explaining what you drew (or attempted to). Want to title your artwork? Go for it! It doesnât have to take ages to make, a 5 minute sketch is totally fine. Still not sure if your art skills are good enough to participate? Donât be. My art skills are pretty much at stick figure level, and will probably require a caption. This is basically just something kind of fun (or funny?) to tuck your stickers in with. On the opposite side of the spectrum, if you are super artsy and want to create a masterpiece, that would be awesome too! Iâm sure it will be fully enjoyed by whoever receives it. So...in with your sketch, youâll need to tuck in a sheet of stickers. The sticker rules are the same as usual. A full sheet of stickers, not cut up. Nice, new stickers only. No reward, kiddie (Dora, Frozen, etc), or alphabet stickers, unless your partner specifically requests those in their profile. If the sticker sheets are very small (4âx4â or smaller) then send 2 sheets. Stickers should be dime sized or bigger. Stickers are senderâs choice. So you cannot rate down if you donât like the stickers your partner sent. If they donât float your boat, you can always pass them on in the next round. Rating: if your partner sends some sort of art (or attempt at art, like mine will be), sent it on time, and included and a sheet (or two) of stickers that meet the requirements, then you must rate them as a 5. If you really like the stickers, or the artwork, then a heart is up to you. Note: if your artwork is done with crayons or ink or anything else that could get on your stickers and damage them, then maybe you should wrap the stickers in an additional sheet of paper to protect them. Or slip them into a ziplock bag if youâre really concerned. But I really think that in most cases, folding a piece of paper around them should be sufficient. Right? Use your best judgment. Newbies can join this swap with a well filled out profile, established swappers should have at least a 4.9 and no unexplained/unresolved 1âs or 3âs. If you want to participate, but are not sure you can, feel free to check with me. I will be checking participants and reserve the right to ban anyone I donât feel confident will complete the swap. And of course, I will angel if need be In the âinternational versionâ of this swap, most of the participants were from the US anyway, so Iâm just going to make these international from now on, unless there are any objections. If you really want a USA only one, let me know. |
