Using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons on Watercolor Cardstock make streaks using several different colors like in my sample. You can have your cardstock already cut for the 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 ATC or use a larger sheet & cut it down when the cardstock dries. Brush the Distress Crayon marks with a wet paint brush. I used a small paint brush & dipped it into the water several times for each color . I had the crayon colors just touching but, if you want to blend them you can as long as it doesn't get muddy. After this is dry, finish your ATC any way you want using Tim Holtz products. You can use TH stamps, die cuts, people, metal embellishments. The goal for this swap is the background so, make sure you do not cover it all up as you finish your ATC. I found I like the results better when I used the smoother side of the Watercolor Cardstock. So, play with it & see what you think. |
