Similar to the one I created for July, but kickin' it up a notch! The letter must be long enough that it covers 2 pages (or 1 both sides if you're like me) of 8.5 x 11 as a minimum. (But use whatever paper you prefer; it's the content that matters) Between introducing yourself and reflecting on/asking questions as you read your partner's profile, this should not be difficult. Read your partner's profile, write a letter that introduces yourself but ALSO reflects on their profile; comment, ask questions. This is personalized pen paling; not journal/diary/daily task list you mail out, not canned pen paling (where you send the same content to everyone), not just to get some mail, not write-the-letter and slap the name on top kind of pen paling. This is where you get to know your partners in hopes of clicking for ongoing pen pal/friendship via snail mail. This is not hard to do, it just takes time and thoughtfulness to get to know the partner....write with THAT PERSON in mind. In case you're not sure if this is swap is for you....this should help: If you totally keep your specific pal in MIND when you are writing your intro letter and making it TO that specific person; this is for you. If you like to receive a letter that is definitely to YOU and YOU alone; this is for you. If you like to have a TWO WAY conversation via letters; this is for you. If you tend to write at least a full 8.5 x 11 pages, both sides; this is for you. If you are interested in getting more pals to hit a goal; this is NOT for you. If you generally write letters without reading their profiles (or reviewing their letter if they've written and responding to it); this is NOT for you. If you write a letter and you can't tell whom it's TO based on what it says; this is NOT for you. If you usually write less than 2 pages of 8.5 x 11, this is NOT for you. |
