Description: | |
Like the last two rounds, this one will be a Week of format. That will help the folks who weren't enamored with Monday. The swap idea is simple: you'll have one partner, and once every week (you pick the day this go round), you mail out an envelope/packet to her. This is a USA only swap to help ensure mailings arrive within a week. At the end of the swap, you should have received four mailings, and possibly made a new friend. I can testify to that! One of my dearest friends is a swapper I was paired with more than 10 years ago in a Monday Morning Mailer swap on another, now defunct, swap site. Every Monday/Every week, you will mail your partner an envelope or small package that contains something to read, something to do or try, and a surprise. Any of those things can relate on the week's topic. The themes are broad and can be interpreted in any way. (If you'd like, your something to read and something to do can be related to the week's topic.) If you have suggestions for future themes, please post below. There are four full weeks in November. For the themes this month, I've listed a topic and a Scripture. As always, the themes are open to interpretation. Week 1: Nov. 3-9 -- An introductory note or letter. Theme: Favorite childhood memory and/or 1 Timothy 4:12 Week 2: Nov. 10-16 -- Theme: Wisdom and/or Proverbs 4:6-7 Week 3: Nov. 17-23 -- Theme: Stir up the gift and/or 2 Timothy 1:6-7 Week 4: Nov. 24-30 -- Theme: Thanksgiving and/or 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Feel free to respond to your partner. Maybe a long-term friendship will indeed develop. Examples of something to read: a letter, an article, a short story or a book, a zine, a devotion, etc. Examples of something to do or try include, but are not limited to: craft kits (for cards, ATCs, dotees, etc), puzzles, a Bible quiz or study, recipes, a profile-related project or activity, a book or magazine, a CD to listen to, etc. Examples of surprises: bookmarks, postcards, art made by you, profile surprises (check your partner's profile for suggestions), anything related to faith or Christianity, etc. Rate your partner after receiving the fourth envelope/package. Thank you to all who have participated in this series so far! The 2019 schedule has been January, March, May, July, September, November. 2020 will be the same, every other month beginning in January. USA swappers. Group membership. Snail mail. |
