EP: Trash to Treasure Challenge

I am infamous for this type of swap in my group all about atcs. and over on Atcsforall. I have been racking my brain on how to get this group HOOKED on this fun swap.

I reserve the right to close this swap early if I get more than 12 players, Keep that in mind if you are watching the swap, that I might close it early.

Here is what I have come up with.

1. This swap is not for the faint of heart, the super busy, or those who are time management challenged. This will take some time to think think think, and it will cost you a tiny bit in postage to mail your returns.

2. By participating you agree.

A. I can post a photo of your return item on my flickr page for others to see

B. You will reimburse me for my initial postage cost

C. You can afford 55 cents X 3 to complete this swap.

D. You will post in the comments when you have received an envelope from me.

E. you will post in the comments whether you want an ATC (2.5x 3.5) , or a journal tip (5x7) double sided decorations or postcards (4x6) as your returns for your partners. Or post "Surprise me!" or "Mix and match"

F. You need to be open to make all or one of the 3 of the above listed sizes.

Here is what will happen, I can see the addresses of all the players who sign up. I will send each player one envelope of scraps, images, and destash items. From the trash, you must make treasures.

You need at least one of my scraps, one of my images and one of my words on each item you are making. Theme is sender's choice, within these limits: no holidays, no political, No blood, gore, spiders or clowns (JIC we have those phobia, I dont)

You will make 6 items total. 2 for me, along with your return postage to me. Use the address on my envelope or feel free to ask me for its again. If you are one of the two players who get me for a partner then you will make me 4 things.

2 items each for 2 partners.

I will send you 2 items with your trash, for you to keep. I will make a variety of the sizes and hope I have enough, of each. If I get you for a partner I will make you 4 things.

At this point I am not limiting the number of envelopes. but I tend to stop at 12 or 16.

Please do not just glue items down willy nilly, make a coherent cohesive work of art.

Cards are to have a firm backing, along with some contact info on the back and the year 2019.

Cereal boxes work well for firm backings. Start saving a few.

You are mailing your creation in an envelope to your partners, even if you are making postcards.

A journal tip in is nothing too weird or wild. It is just a decorated 5x7 item you can slip in or tape into a journal. Again this should be decorate on both sides. A postcard is often blank on the one side, do not write on the blank side of the postcards, these are for your partners to send in a future swap.

Add a note to your envelope, so your partner knows which swap it is for and so they can rate you promptly.
