Description:

I’m currently recovering from hip surgery, so I have lots of time sitting around crafting with the random stuff that I brought downstairs from my craft room. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to have a “Super-sized” envelope swap. (No I don’t mean giant envelopes. Lol!)

For this swap we will be creating the following:

~3 mini envelopes. These envelopes should be sized to fit any of the commonly swapped mail art pieces from inchies to ATC’s, and everything in between. You may use any type of paper (unless noted below).

~3 collaged envelopes. These envelopes must be of a mailable size and must be fully collaged front and back. The base may be store bought or handmade. You may collage with anything that your heart desires, as long as the envelope will be mailable when you are finished; such as magazine clippings, random papers, newspaper, comic book pages, thinner fabric scraps…

~2 decorated envelopes. These envelopes must be of mailable size. You may decorate in any way of your choosing (paints/spray/stamps/washi/stickers/die cuts/etc.). Don’t simply put one strip of washi or a single sticker/die cut on the envelope and call it done. You may start with a store bought envelope, but your finished envelope must not be a single color.

~2 more envelopes. These envelopes must be of mailable size. They may be made out of any type of paper (unless noted below) or be made using any technique of your choosing. If you choose to decorate an envelope for this step, follow the guidelines above.

In a nutshell:

~You will be making a total of 10 envelopes; 3 mini envelopes and 7 envelopes of a mailable size.

~If the paper that you use to make your envelope is thinner (book pages, magazine pages, etc), add a liner.

~Your envelopes may not be made out of plain/colored copy paper. You may use copy paper that has been painted/inked, etc., but then it must be lined as stated above.

I reserve the right to ban any problematic swappers. I will angel as necessary.

@ladydy5 That's why there is such a large lead time on the send by date. :)
