in our creative projects...especially on tags and in journals. So let's create some for each other in the vintage style or shabby chic style. Create at least eight clusters that have a minimum of 3 layers but feel free to use 4-5 layers for added craftiness. Include a little happy note and some information or backstory concerning some of the special materials used. For example, french book page torn from a book bought at a Parisian brocante in 2012 visit to France...or lace is from a local antique shop in my hometown. Knowing the background of a material's origins can be fun and adds a special connection just like when antiquing and knowing a bit of the antique item's history/backstory. Use a variety of layering materials such as tea bags/coffee filters, fabric, vintage book pages, sari/saree silk, lace, trims, buttons, vintage ephemera, printables/junk journaling images, rubber stamped images, diecuts, vellum/tracing paper, vintage piano roll paper, music paper, cheesecloth, bling. | |
