Deconstructed Art Journal Page #1Swap Information:You will make one De-Constructed Art Journal (DAJ) page for one partner in any theme. Your artwork may include (but is not limited to) hand drawn, painted, stamped, inked, collaged, etc. If you use stickers, please make sure they are nice ones-and as an addition, not the topic of your page! Please keep the page flat as possible. Be sure to sign your work and include the name of the swap. These are not to include in our journals we are swapping, but if you are like me, you have multiple journals, so I thought it would be fun to make more art!! What is a De-Constructed Art Journaling page? It is a single page (folded in half) that is created for your partner with the goal of them binding it into their own journal. It is a little bit cheaper than mailing out the entire journal to your partner! Most De-constructed Art Journal pages are 8 x 8, however, we will be doing this in a 10" x 7" base, so that when folded in half, it will measure 5" x 7". Since we are using only two sizes of journals in our group, I thought I would make this our size for these pages. You can use watercolor paper, heavy cardstock, manila folder, anything sturdy for your base. Nothing flimsy please! You will cover all 4 pages with your own artwork. If you think of the folded page like a book, you will decorate the cover, the 2 page inside spread, and the back (I hope this makes sense!!) Since this isn't partner specific, feel free to start working on these now! If you are still unsure, here are a few links to help, or just Google De-constructed Art Journal pages as there are several good videos! Any questions, please feel free to ask!!
