Instructions: Look through any magazines, catalogs, calendars, etc and find a nice picture that will fit on a postcard. This is not a collage, it's one picture that you find that's about the size of a postcard. Cut-n-paste the picture onto a piece of cardboard, the inner 4x6" cardboard you cut out to make the frame guide. or old cereal boxes, or heavy cardstock. For example here's a postcard I made from a photo in a CAA Magazine: You will be assigned one partner. Send the postcard with a short note on the back. I like to write where I got the cut-out picture from (as well as a short greeting). Include your swap-bot username and the name of the swap on the postcard. ------------------------------------------Important administration stuff: Nudge Rate quickly so it doesn't end up forgotten in a pile of postcards. I send out nudge 'please rate' messages around the 4-week mark after everyone has mailed their cards. Nudging makes my hosting job harder and multiple nudges may mean a ban in future swaps, so please rate soon after you receive your postcard. If you haven't received a postcard around the 6-week mark, let me know. Blank comments When rating please comment on the card received. Let's make our partners feel like their postcard matters. So please, no blank comments. If you have trouble thinking up something to say here's an example, describe what you received: Thank you for {describe the item}...Thank you for the Van Gogh sunflower postcard. It brightened my day. Finished I check to see that everyone is rated and will add a "Finished" stamp to the Discussion section when all postcards are sent, received, and rated. |
