Description:

Not all group members are required to join this swap, this is just for fun, if you wish to try a challenge or if you're not sure where to start!

Information about the Unread Shelf Project can be found here and the monthly challenge list can be found HERE

The suggested book for March is: A book you bought on a trip - OR - the book that’s been on your unread shelf the longest But if you don't have a book on your TBR that fits that category, just choose any book from your TBR. That is the overall goal of the group and the project. :)

For any prompt in this series of swaps, you can choose either the first prompt (the 2021 Unread Shelf project prompt) OR the second prompt (the 2020 Unread Shelf project prompt) OR any book on your shelf. The goal is to read the books you have on hand. If the prompt helps you choose - great! But you don't have to use the prompt to join this series of swaps. Just read any book on your TBR.

After sign up ends and your partners are assigned, just send them an email (you can send the same email to all 3 partners, just be sure to use BCC to send the emails) with the book title and author and then just a few lines about

if you liked the book or not,

if you couldn't finish it, why did you decide not to finish it?

That's it! You don't have to write a book report or review - unless you want to. This swap and the series and the group is more about helping and supporting everyone to tackle the TBR lists than book reviews and recommendations.

This list of categories was generated by The Unread Shelf. If something doesn't fit, that's ok. You don't have to join that month's swap. This is just for fun and to help us all tackle our TBR's, find books we all enjoy reading and tame the stacks and lists that we all have.

The categories for this year are as follows (but at any time, you can read ANY book on your TBR, even if it doesn't fit the category) The first prompt is 2021's listed prompt, the 2nd prompt is the 2020 listed prompt.

March - A book you bought on a trip - OR - the book that’s been on your unread shelf the longest

April - A book bought from a used bookstore - OR - the book you most recently acquired

May - A book you bought as a new release - OR - a backlist title (by an author with a newer book out)

June - A book bought in a spending spree - OR - a book from a series

July - A book bought for the cover - OR - a book voted for you by Bookstagram (or other bookish community)

August - A book bought from an independent bookstore - OR - a buddy read

September - A book you want to learn from - OR - a book you’ve owned so long, you forgot where it came from
