Let us commemorate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, paying tribute to the Asian and Pacific Islanders who shaped the history of the U.S. and the world. Write a letter that shares your personal AAPI story or highlights AAPI moments in history and contributions to society. You can also suggest specific places, activities, websites, or organizations, etc. that reflect resources and experiences related to AAPI history and heritage. (If the US does not figure into your life story, please feel free to use any Asian/Pacific Islander personal experience or history.) Why not order some AAPI stamps from the US post office: Lunar New Year, Ruth Asawa, and Chien-Shiung Wu https://store.usps.com/store/home If you post a pic of your letter to social media, include the following tag: #AsianPacificAmericanHeritageMonth (Remember to cover up any postal addresses or personal information.) Guidelines: -Write a letter on a notecard or decorative letter-paper that is at least one page long or longer, talking about AAPI subjects or personal experience -Remember to write the name of the swap and your Swap-Bot username on it Active members in good standing only. A well-filled-out profile is required. No unrated swappers for this particular swap. Contact both your swap partner and the swap host if you can't mail your swap on time. If you receive a letter having to do with Asian/Pacific Islander heritage and it was sent on time, rate your partner a 5. Please send me a private message if you need advice on how to rate or have any questions, problems, suggestions, or helpful information. (Do not leave comments below since they won't necessarily be seen in time to answer.) |
