Hi all. Please note that I edited this. Please read the description and swap requirements carefully. I’ve left a long send out time while the mail catches up. If you want to just start a new card for yourself instead of waiting that is fine too. You can include up to 3 cards in your swap. The more in circulation the better. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME JOINING THIS SWAP: Pick a card that you like (not too heavy, or oversized since that requires extra postage) Write the swap name: LSRUS Travelling postcard for (insert your user name) at the very top. Try to keep it small. DO NOT add your address on the card as it is not a swap requirement. When the postcard if full, it will be sent back to you in an envelope. We are trying to fill the whole back of the card with signers. What is an requirement: you will need to attach a template to the postcard. You can attach if with a paper clip or washi tape or place the postcard inside a plastic/cellophane sleeve. In subsequent rounds, please make sure to keep this template attached to the postcard. If you don't want to use the template - you can use something similar that you made yourself. Once your partner has been assigned, you will put it in an envelope and send it off. When you receive your swap, sign it with your name, country or region and date. Remember try to keep it small. Ideally no more than 1 inch long and 1/4 in height. You can use mini labels too. Just remember to keep it small. Keep until the next round and mail out to your partner. Optional: include a little flat extra like stickers, washi samples, extra postcards. Totally up to you. IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE PREVIOUS ROUND(S): When you receive your swap, sign it with your name, country or region and date. Remember try to keep it small. Ideally no more than 1 inch long and 1/4 in height. You can use mini labels too. Just remember to keep it small. Keep until the next round and mail out to your partner. Hang on to the postcard(s) that you receive in each round. We will have another round each month. If you are unable to participate in a specific round, you can hold onto those cards. You will be able to send up to 3 at a time. Please note: DO NOT send 3 starter postcards to the same swapper. You are allowed to send out 1 starter postcard per round. Please consider if you are willing to participate on a regular basis. One or two rounds missed are ok, but if you no longer want to participate, please let me know and return the cards to me, so I can get them back in circulation. My info is in group forum. This swap is international. Swappers must have done at least 5 non electronic swaps. If you are not really into travelling/collaborative mail, this swap isn’t for you. I will check profiles before assigning partners. No recent 1s or 3s without good explanation Here is a great video on how the whole thing works - Travelling postcard how to If you get assigned a partner and your partner is the owner of the card OR your partner has already signed the card you will be sending on, you can create a new card for yourself or a member in LSRUS. Hold on to the other card until you can pass it one. You can pass a Maximum of 3 postcards - however NOT 3 starter postcards to the same swapper in the same round! If you have any questions pm me. |
