Add a cold infusion tea bag and postcard senders choice with it. Decorations on the envelop not required, but I personally love a bit of personal touch.

@reauk I your plans fit on a notecard it is fine. But make it a nice story, not just 1 or 2 lines. You may also type the letter if you have a printer?
