Newbie artists welcome! You do not need to have experience making ATC's in order to join this swap. Newbies as well as seasoned ATC swappers may join. Seasoned ATC swappers should be aware that the quality of ATC they send out may not match the quality they receive. What you will send: two ATCs, one holiday themed (Xmas, hanukkah or whatever you celebrate) and the other to your partners likes (make sure to have a well filled out profile !! If your likes are not listed you'll get whatever your partner makes :), and a few goodies (stickers, washi sample, a book page. Just something small :) keep the postage under two stamps <3 An artist trading card (or ATC for short) is a small, original piece of art created with the intention of swapping or trading it with another artist. The one rule an artist trading card must adhere to is the size 2.5" x 3.5". The front of an ATC, is where the artist creates an original work to showcase their art. The back of an ATC is where the artist puts their name, contact details, title of the ATC, & the date it was created. Artist trading cards can be made in any media including DRY MEDIA (pencils, pens, markers, etc), WET MEDIA (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc), PAPER MEDIA (collage paper, ephemera, etc.) or MIXED MEDIA (a combination of 2 or more of the medias listed above). ATC's should be flat enough to fit inside a protective sleeve, therefore dimensional embellishments should be kept to a minimum. You can buy packs of plastic trading card sleeves, cut individual sleeves from a 9 pocket trading card page, make your own out of paper, a small envelope, plastic baggie, library pocket, etc. ATC's should have a sturdy backing. You can use cardstock, a playing card, paper board cut from a cereal box or other product packaging, mail flyers, etc. Do a search on YouTube, Google, or Pinterest for "Artist Trading Cards" & you will find a bunch of information & examples. Remember... Never take credit for another person's art. Take time & do your best work. Neatness counts! Please message me if you have any questions regarding ATC's. Thanks for joining & happy swapping! RULES: Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile. No recent or unexplained 1's or 3's unless you contact me first. I will screen all participants of this swap VERY THOROUGHLY during signup & before partners are assigned, so don't drop out if you see a flaker or someone with poor ratings because they will be removed. If you are not sure that you meet the requirements, have a question concern about the swap or about someone who has signed up please message me privately as I do not check the "Leave a Comment" section below. |
