Welcome to the Monday Mailer for August 2022.

Thank you for considering this MONTHLY Mailer swap where you send your partner an envelope/package of happiness with a note, a reading and a surprise for each week.

You'll have the choice on whether to send your partner a mailing each of the five Mondays of August or all five packets in a single mailing at the start of the month

I've been hosting variations of this swap for years in different groups and sites. This will be the second for the G.I.F.T. group and the first hybrid format. In the original version of the Monday Mailer participants sent something to a partner every Monday. During the COVID-19 pandemic, to avoid multiple trips to the post office, it was changed to a Monthly Mailer with a month's worth of packets being sent all at one time in a larger mailer.

For August 2022, we'll take a hybrid approach -- whichever is most convenient for you. But you must communicate with your partner to let her know if you plan to send weekly or all at once.

You will

EITHER:

• create a packet or envelope for each week labeled with the week. Tuck all five packets in a larger box or mailer and send so your partner will have a full month in one package. Be sure to include your name, forum name and the swap name.

OR:

• send your partner a packet or envelope every week of the month for a total of five mailings. Be sure to include your name, forum name and the swap name in or on each mailing.

Each packet should include:

• a note, card or letter.

• something to read.

• a surprise.

Themes:

Your notes could be about anything you'd like, or you can follow the suggested themes for each week. Themes are suggested to focus on or guide you as you prepare your packets. Interpretations of the weekly themes are up to the sender.

This month's theme comes from the song I'm listening to as I write up this swap.

The overall theme for August is **"How Great is Our God." The YouTube link is to the original by Chris Tomlin.

Suggested weekly themes --

August 1-6: Introduce yourself.

August 7-13: Your testimony to God's greatness.

August 14-20: "How Great Thou Art" -- head over to YouTube and listen to two or three versions you are not familiar with. Tell your partner about your listening experience.

August 21-27: Great is God's mercy, love, faithfulness.

August 28-Sept. 3: Sender's choice

You don't have to wait for partners to be assigned to start your notes.
