Handmade Art Advent Calendar

*Please read entire swap description before signing up! There are tons of fun advent swaps to send and receive daily small gifts and little goodies. This is not that. 🙂 *

As a child, I always loved making a red and green paper chain for the month of December. It was so exciting to rip off one link each night to count down the days until Christmas! So for this swap, you will create 24 day advent calendar for your swap partner to use this year. Think of it as a more interesting, artistic and reusable version of the paper chain.

• Your 24 day advent calendar is sender’s choice, and can be made in whatever format you choose. (Examples: a banner for the wall, a card with doors to open, a booklet with one page for each day, a stack of envelopes filled with a daily ATC…)

• It can be made in any medium, and in any color scheme.

• It should be Christmas- or holiday-themed, but in your own interpretation and style.

• It should have a way to mark each day from December 1 through December 24. It can have words or quotes to read each day, or it can be simply visual art.

• Though this is sender’s choice, please don’t send anything religious unless your partner specifies that it is okay. (If you are comfortable receiving religious items, please specify in the comments below.)

• Be creative! Make and send something you are proud of, and would love to receive yourself.

There will be 2 weeks to create and send this swap after partners are assigned, but you are welcome to start your (sender’s choice) advent calendar now. (Please remember, though, that you may be assigned to someone who doesn’t wish for a religious calendar.) This is an international swap, as I love swapping with friends all over the world, but please only sign up up if you can expect your international mail to arrive in about a month.
