This is another Reverse Stencil technique. This time we will make a nice FALL CARDfor our partner to use. This will be the easiest Card you have ever made! I love this technique You will want to do everything this way! 😃 This will be a card for Fall/Thanksgiving. REVERSE STENCILING Gather your supplies: Cardstock for your stenciled background; 3-4 colors of ink pads - Think Fall colors, oranges, golds, reds, etc; Blending brushes, foam sponge; Cardstock to mount your new masterpiece on (your Card base). Stencil - does not have to be fall, any nice design will be perfect. Black inkpad DIRECTIONS: Ink your card background with your inks. Be sure to use at least 3 colors. You may sponge them on, put on direct to paper, or use blending brushes. Cover the whole card. Best results are if the colors are bright. When your ink is dry, Place your stencil over the card - sometimes it helps to secure your card and stencil with a little washi. Using your black ink pad and a blending brush, blend your black ink over the whole stencil. Make sure the black ink is completely covering the stencil on the card, and the are no colors showing under the black. Remove stencil. Voila! A beautiful reverse stencil 😃 Add a nice FALL sentiment on the front (NOT generic ie: birthday, get well, etc). You may add a stamped image to the front as well, but please DO Not cover your beautiful stenciling... let it be a focal point of your card. Add to your card base(s). A gorgeous fall/Thanksgiving card. Wasn’t that easy? Do Not write in this card, it is for your partner to use. Envie is optional. Add swap Info on a separate sheet of notepaper (do not sticky note to the card..it can ruin the card)- a short note, name of swap, your name, SB moniker, date. Send off to your partner, with proper postage, of course! Have fun with it...use colors that blend nicely and don't "muddy" when put together. Posted: 9/20/23 - I can't believe I have to say this , but, please do not repost for your own group swaps. Thank you. (Yes, some people steal swap ideas without asking if okay) 10/16/23: edited for clarity. Image above is an ATC I made. |
