| (the image above is not my original work) Does anyone use snippet rolls in their journals or art? For this swap, we will make a vintage-themed snippet roll for our partner. (Though it won’t be “rolled”, but folded to fit in the envelope.) Never made a snippet roll before? Neither have I! But a here is a link for an easy no-sew snippet. Here’s another! Feel free to use different tutorial or make it however you would if you’ve made them before. • 1 snippet “roll” to 1 partner • minimum 18 inches (45.72cm) long and 1 inch wide (2.54cm); your snippet can be wider (especially with all the different ephemera) • vintage-themed, using real vintage and vintage-looking ephemera • please use at least 3 different materials/ephemera; for example, vintage book pages, vintage/vintage-looking images/cut-outs, washi, handmade paper scraps, fibers, etc. • can be stitched or no-sew, sender’s choice (and ability) sent in a (snippet) decorated envelope - sender’s choice as to the style; it doesn’t have to be covered but make it fun Usual group rules apply; I’ll check profiles before assigning partners. PM me or comment below with questions. Feel free to post tutorial links in the comments! Thanks for joining 🤗 | |
