Summer is one of my favorite seasons of the year. What's not to love - hiking, the beach, camping, gardening, trips to the ice cream parlor...the list can go on forever. For this swap, you will fill a small 1/2 pint canning jar with things of the season. You will have 1 partner to send to. Please use their profiles as a guide. Remember to decorate your jar. Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile. No 1's or 3's allowed and no recent unexplained no sends. I will be doing a whimsey jar for each of the other 3 seasons in the near future, so keep a watch out for them.

This sounds very fun, but as a newbie would you clarify a little further~Is this for craft items, cards, etc? I want to make sure I get it right. Thank you!

A whimsey jar is filled with many different things that fit the theme. They could be craft items or trinkets. You can put whatever you would to in it. Use your partners profile as a guide to get an idea of their likes and dislikes, then go from there.

Hi...Does it have to be a 1/2 pint canning jar? What about those 6 oz. baby food jars (e.g. stage 3 Gerber), would that be acceptable? I have lots of those.
