MMA: Grungy Paper Bag Junk Journal Swap (USA Only)

Calling all junk journal lovers! In this swap, you'll create one grungy-themed paper bag junk journal for your assigned partner using your favorite mixed media techniques and creative embellishments.

Each participant will have one partner and will make one journal. The journal must be constructed from a paper bag, but the size is entirely up to the maker. Whether you choose a small lunch bag, a large merchandise bag, or something in between, make it uniquely yours!

Your journal must include one interior signature and a journal pocket. Flip-outs, tuck-ins, and additional interactive elements may be added, as desired. Decorate and embellish the front cover, and include a creative closure such as a ribbon tie, elastic band, button-and-string closure, lace wrap, or another imaginative fastening method. Embellish the inside of the journal, but be sure to leave room for your partner to add their own ephemera, journaling, and personal touches.

Grungy Theme: Think distressed, aged, worn, vintage, shabby, textured, layered, and delightfully grungy. Coffee-dyed papers, inks, paints, stamps, book pages, fabrics, fibers, and found ephemera are all welcome additions to help achieve the grunge aesthetic.

Mailing: Please package your finished journal securely and mail it in a way that will protect it from shipping damage.

USA Only: This swap is open to USA participants only due to postage costs and shipping considerations. If you are outside the United States, please feel free to host an international version of this swap.
