Description:

DATES HAVE BEEN EDITED TO ACCOMMODATE BUDGETS! :D

Hey everyone, this swap is going to be a big one!

The idea is to create a quick turn around scrapbook cover to cover over several months.

Step 1. Everyone buys their OWN 8" x 8" scrapbook. This size is simple, affordable, and easy to mail.

Step 2. In each swap, you will create two scrapbook pages about your city to send to two different partners. If you follow the whole series of swaps, you will be making 20 pages total over a 10 week period. Be creative! Incorporate ticket stubs, advertisements, and other memorabilia from the events you encounter throughout your week.

Step 3. As you receive your pages in the mail, assemble your scrapbook. Soon you will have an eclectic blend of scrapbooking styles from all over the US.

I hope everyone looks forward to following the whole 10 week set!

This week:

Create 2 8" x 8" scrapbook pages about your city.

This swap is open to international swappers Please, overall rating of 4.3 or higher. newbies PM me I reserve the right to ban any questionable swappers.

sorry - just need a tad more clarity. We buy the scrapbook but we never mail it. We just mail one 8x8 page to both of our partners (so 2 pages total) about our town, or is it two pages to each partner for a total of four pages? Thanks in advance.

I hope we get ten people to swap so there is a good mix. Otherwise we will have to pay attention to what we sent before so we don't double up on people.

Buy your scrapbook to keep for yourself. It would cost too much to mail them. make 2 pages about your city and send 1 page to each of 2 partners.

Hey everyone! Whoever is my partners can you do me a favor and leave a 1/2 inch border around the sides of my pages??? Because I plan on using my Bind It All to make a book out of the pages I recieve. Thanks! :-)

I am sooooo new to scrapbooking it isn't even funny! (but love to make collages and if I understand the challenge correctly, that is really what it is right?)

Of course I have a question: Front and back of the page have to be decorated or just one side?

This is going on my watch list for now :).. love the idea

The way I would do it is that you make one side and then people would attach that to a blank page that is in their scrapbook. I plan on making my own book out of clipboard or heavy cardboard so I wouldn't have to buy a book. I will buy three rings to attach it all together and punch holes in the paper. You can cover the front and back with whatever you want (paper or cloth). I have made a lot of books this way.

aaaaaand I have another question...

http://www.swap-bot.com/user:Mscraftyt, do you want that 1/2 border around the entire page or just on the two Sides... I mean not on top or bottom....

Mscraftyt 07/16/2009 #

Hey Spin! Just on the 2 sides that would possible be bound :-)

This sounds really cool, but I'm confused - is it international or only US?

international
